Her public entrance into the arts began after receiving a call on her life for the service of ministry. She took a leap of faith and retired from a 27-year career with the Pennsylvania Department of Welfare in 2000.

Dr. Perry Fennell is a dentist and social activist whose forty-year career was shortened by the onset of Lupus. He was educated in the Philadelphia public school system and the Temple University undergraduate and dental schools. Though the years of his infancy and youth were rooted in the time period of segregation in our country, discrimination did not prevent him from pursuing innovative projects and achieving recognition including obtaining the prestigious Philadelphia Award.
